In a rapidly evolving world, the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education cannot be
overstated. It is the gateway to innovation, problem-solving, and the development of skills that are critical for the leaders
of tomorrow. At the Professional Development Center (PDC) of Virtual University of Pakistan (VU), we are committed to nurturing
the STEM talents of our youth, and we are thrilled to introduce the "STEM for Schools" training workshop.
This groundbreaking initiative has been meticulously designed to offer school children, ranging from grade 5th to grade 8th an immersive and inspiring
into the exciting realms of STEM. This program is scheduled during the winter vacations, making it an ideal opportunity for students
to explore, experiment, and enrich their knowledge in an engaging and interactive environment.
Arduino Programming using Blockly:
This workshop offers a hands-on experience in Arduino Programming using Blockly. Participants will explore the fascinating world of
physical computing and robotics, learning how to program Arduino boards to control various hardware components. They will design and
build their projects, enhancing their problem-solving skills and creativity through practical experimentation.
The training workshops will take place in six VU campuses, including IAC Davis Road Campus Lahore, VU Faisalabad Campus, VU Karachi-II
Campus, VU Peshawar Campus, VU Abbottabad Campus, and VU Islamabad Campus. These workshops aim to empower students, inspire their curiosity
and ignite their passion for STEM subjects. It is our belief that these skills are the foundation of innovation, and they will enable
students to contribute meaningfully to the digital and technological landscape.
