World Quality Day Seminar on
From Conventional to e-Learning The Next level of Faculty Readiness

World Quality Day is celebrated in the month of November each year. It’s an opportunity to reach out beyond the profession and share the important contribution that quality makes towards a nation's and an organization’s growth and prosperity. In this regard Directorate of Quality Enhancement (DQE) of Virtual University of Pakistan organized a webinar on “International World Quality Day” on November 26, 2020. The webinar proceedings started with recitation of the Holy Quran followed by welcome address delivered by Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Javed, Director Quality Enhancement/Registrar Virtual University of Pakistan. Thereafter, Chief Guest of the webinar Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi (Vice Chancellor, Government College University, Lahore) delivered a comprehensive address. Dr. Nantha Kumar Subramaniam – Head of Learning Technology, Open University of Malaysia was the keynote speaker of the webinar. He delivered a comprehensive Lecture on “Conventional to e-Learning: The Next level of Faculty Readiness”. The Webinar aimed to provide a forum to all the participants from Quality Enhancement Cells of different DAIs (Degree Awarding Institutions), academicians, and administrators for the exchange of best practices in current situation emerged due to COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the webinar also aimed to serve as a great opportunity to those DAIs who have introduced e-learning. Mr. Naeem Tariq (Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan) discussed about the significance of e-learning in current pandemic situation. The webinar concluded with a positive note and vote of thanks to all the participants from Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan.
