The Covid-19 has changed the scenario of working in all aspects of life. To deal with this pandemic situation, media’s role cannot be ignored. It has been said that media has not performed its role up to the mark but still its significant contributions cannot be ignored. Media is a tool that has been used for mobilization in communities. We have witnessed a great change in mass media dynamics during COVID 19, which proved that media’s value is growing. However, there is a need to find better ways to measure it. It is very important to arrange a forum for scholarly debate to discuss the role of mass media in this hour of need and to find out how the media is meeting the expectations of public regarding COVID-19 awareness. The aim of this webinar “COVID-19: The Impact and Role of Mass Media during the Pandemic” is to enlighten the audience regarding the working of media during this crisis from the platform of Department of Mass Communication, Virtual University of Pakistan.
